We understand that sometimes you may need to return a product you have purchased from Bristol Paints Capalaba store. To help out, we have set out below the Bristol Paints Capalaba Returns Policy highlighting key points that you should know.
Australian Consumer Law
Our Returns Policy includes, and does not seek to exclude or limit, the rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (if you are a consumer) and other relevant laws.
If you are a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law: Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not limited by a defined time. However, the Australian Consumer Law does recognise that the relevant time period for which a remedy may be available can vary from product to product, depending on factors such as the nature of the product and the price. Bristol Paints Capalaba adopts the same approach. As you can appreciate, the type of return/refund we can offer you may also vary depending on how long it takes you to bring the fault to our attention and/or return the product/s to us.
We ask that when making a purchase you please choose carefully as Bristol Paints Capalaba does not accept return of products where you have simply changed your mind, are not happy with a colour or where the purchase was a gift that was unwanted. Products purchased online can only be returned if they are faulty, and the fault did not arise through any misuse, abnormal use or negligent use of the product.
Returns Procedure
Please contact (07) 3245 4558 to speak with one of our Bristol Paints Capalaba specialists, or email us at info@redlandspaintshop.com.au with subject ‘Item Return’ along with any order number or receipt number that you have in the subject line. If Bristol Paints Capalaba can determine that a customer’s purchased goods are damaged or faulty and was through no fault of their own or through wear and tear, they will be entitled to choose one of the following options for a refund:
– A money back refund onto the credit/debit card used to purchase the item
OR
– A credit voucher to be used at Bristol Paints Capalaba Store.
Both options would be equal to the amount paid for the item. Both options will be made available to the customer to choose from.
Returns Terms
Before the refund is issued to a customer, the customer needs to return the faulty or damaged item back to Bristol Paints Capalaba Store with the email showing information about the agreed refund chosen. Bristol Paints Capalaba will then issue customers eligible to receive a refund or credit with the choice that they have made from the above mentioned options.
Returns Postage
Bristol Paints Capalaba will cover the postage cost for the replacement, in the case the customer has chosen to receive a replacement.
Where the custom has made an error or changed their mind. The customer will need to pay for postage return of the initial item AND for the postage of the exchanged item as well.
Wallpaper Refunds
At Bristol Paints Capalaba, we strive to ensure your satisfaction with every wallpaper purchase. Please review the following policies regarding refunds:
Custom Order Wallpapers: We regret that we cannot issue refunds for wallpapers ordered especially for you if you change your mind or if you over-order. It is important to ensure measurements and specifications are accurate before placing your order.
Policy Details:
- Accuracy Requirement: The measurement provided by the customer is considered final and definitive for the custom order.
- No Refunds: We adhere strictly to the Office of Fair Trading policy, which stipulates that refunds cannot be issued for products where incorrect project information has been provided by the customer.
Stock Wallpapers from Our Colour Studio: If you purchase wallpaper from our stock in the colour studio, you are eligible for a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided the goods are returned in their original packaging and condition.
Installation and Usage Guidelines: All wallpapers and murals come with detailed instructions from the manufacturer. Please follow these instructions carefully to ensure proper installation and maintenance.
Faulty Products: If you notice a fault either before or during installation, please cease installation immediately and contact us right away. We adhere to the Office of Fair Trading Policy and will provide a refund or replacement for faulty wallpaper.

Cancellation Policy
Orders cannot be cancelled once you have accepted your quote and paid for your order. Due to the speciality nature of our products they have been ordered in especially for you. Bristol Paints Capalaba are unable to return these goods. Please select your wallpaper with care.
Lead Times
Most lead-times are approx 2-3 weeks from date of order. Sometimes they may be quicker or longer depending where they are coming from or may have to be manufactured especially for your order.
Lead-times are only approximate and rarely there may be delays that are out of Bristol Paints Capalaba control. If we are notified from our supplier of any delays, we will contact you immediately.
Installation of Wallcoverings
Bristol Paints Capalaba recommend you use professional installers. Ask us for wallpaper installers in your area. This is only a courtesy to our customers that we pass on these details. The installers do not work for Bristol Paints Capalaba, we are not responsible for them we only recommend them. We are not involved in making any appointments or times nor involved in quotes or prices. This is between yourself and the installer.
If you would like to install yourself, please follow the instructions on the manufactures label which is included in each wallpaper roll.
Our friendly staff will help you out with the correct paste/adhesives and wallpapering tools for your installation, which we keep in stock.
Quantities
When wallpaper quantities are calculated with assistance using customer supplied measurements and data input by Bristol Paints Capalaba staff, it is only done as a courtesy. We do not warrant calculations assisted by our consultants it is the responsibility of the consumer to correctly assess the quantity before ordering. Bristol Paints Capalaba will not be responsible for any unused rolls, and excess of special orders are not returnable nor refundable. Please check with your installer before ordering.
Wallcoverings
Grassweave:
Carefully read the hanging instruction of these handcrafted natural wallcoverings to achieve optimal result. Slight variations of colour and texture are natural characteristics of handcrafted grasscloth wallcovering.
Grasscloth is a natural product made from natural materials. It is designed to have variations in colour and texture. Future, as they are natural fibres it is not possible to “match” the weave of the product.
Please note that as a natural product, it will change colour when exposed to sunlight (direct or indirect) we cannot offer any warranty against any variation to colour either before or after installation.
